Family Photo Sessions
Being fairly self conscious I’m often happier behind the camera, but as a mum I think it’s so important to be in some of the photos, both for me and my children to look back on. These sessions give us the opportunity to have photos taken together and create some great memories at the same time. There are some lovely locations nearby where I find the children (and adults!) enjoy exploring. We can go for a walk or it can be in the comfort of your own home. I document our time together with a relaxed and fun style to capture those natural moments and smiles as they happen. It can be with just one person or the whole extended family, and feel free to bring the fur babies along too!

Our homes are where we spend most of our time together so what better place to have a lifestyle photography session. There is so much beauty in our normal everyday lives and it’s only when we think back on these times that we realise it. Feeling relaxed at home means I can capture everyday activities, emotions, interactions, favourite toys and hang outs!

*Within half an hour driving distance from Barton le Clay for up to 6 people. I'm happy to travel further, travel expenses may be added depending on distance. For extra people there may be a further charge. I do not give raw or unedited files.
Frequently asked questions
What should we wear?
There’s really no right or wrong answer to this question. I would advise against large logos/text or very bold prints that might detract attention from yourselves. Something comfortable and practical depending on the location is ideal. If there is a particular outfit that you or your children love at the moment that would help tell the story or that you’d like a memory of then that’s absolutely fine. It’s really about being yourselves and how you feel comfortable whether that be casual or wearing something special.
What location should we choose?
A nice outdoor space somewhere you enjoy spending time as a family. A local park/wood or walk.. the garden or at home? Woods or fields where children can explore and run about if they have lots of energy can be great. Really anywhere that is meaningful or holds special memories for you in some way. I’m also happy to make some recommendations too.
Should I bring props/toys?
Please feel free to bring along items that you would normally bring on a day out including toys or sports equipment they like playing with. If we’re at your home then we can incorporate hobbies and activities to add to the story and to look back and remember certain items they like playing with or things they like to do.
When will I receive my images?
I’ll aim to send you a link to an online gallery where you can view your edited images within 14 days of the photoshoot. These will include a mixture of colour and black and white images. From here you can choose which photos you would like. Prints and products can also be ordered through the gallery.
What if it rains?
We can keep an eye on the weather before the date of the shoot. Sometimes cloud and a bit of rain can be atmospheric and if we’re in the woods or have some shelter this isn’t as much of a problem, but if it looks particularly heavy we can always reschedule.
What if my child plays up?
Please don’t worry. I’m a mum myself so know that this happens. We’ll have plenty of time so we can go with it and ride it out.
