About Me
Hi, I'm Kate! Thought I should tell you a little bit about me...
I have two girls, Evie - who loves gymnastics and is constantly flipping and cartwheeling, and Millie - who loves surfing, even though we live a long way from the sea. Whenever we can we go to Cornwall to get our fix of the beach, we love it there. I have a black lab, Rosie, who loves cuddles and food (a bit like me!) and a hubby who puts up with me quite literally running off into the sunset when the light is ‘just right’.
I love spending time with family and friends and I function mainly on tea - I love tea, and crisps! I grew up on the original Starwars movies, drumstick lollies, holidays in Cornwall, building dens and climbing trees. I'm a middle child, and together with our close holiday friends we were forever putting on ‘shows’ for our parents to sit through and now our kids do the same to us - perfect payback…

Why I love capturing memories...
When I got married (back in the days before digital photos!) my photographer took some nice formal pictures. A few days after my wedding, my uncle gave me an album full of images that he had taken which showed so many moments from the day that I hadn’t seen. They showed the joy and the emotions on everyone's faces. They documented natural and unposed moments which spark memories each time I look at them. I’m so grateful to him and other family members for taking these for me and will never forget the feeling they gave me when I looked through them.
Having children made me realise just how quickly things change. Their expressions, toys they loved, blankets they carried with them literally everywhere they went, the tantrums over little things, the way they interact with each other - it’s all so special and I love looking back on it all.
To be able to create this for other people through my images means so much to me and is why I love doing what I do.
